CSUSM Hillel held its first Paint Night on Thursday September 29th. We used this time to learn about the High Holidays and reflect on the meaning of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Students were presented with a blank canvas and asked to review a list of Rosh Hashanah themed questions. Each student chose one question to answer by drawing or writing on their blank canvas. The theme of starting the year off with a blank slate was discussed before we were led in painting instructions by CSUSM Hillel Co-President Valerie. While we were all following the same basic directions, each student was able to create their own unique work of art that will serve as a reminder of the High Holidays all year round.
