Hillel of San Diego sponsors jSpace, a series of social events bringing together the 5000 Jewish college and graduate students in the greater San Diego area. jSpace takes advantage of all the resources the city has to offer and helps students connect with each other in a social and easily accessible environment.
jSpace debuted in the spring 2006 with Winter Night Skate, an evening of ice-skating for students across San Diego, and has been gaining momentum ever since. In the past year, jSpace has put together a variety of unique events, connecting over 600 students to the greater San Diego Jewish community. The San Diego Jewish Program Board, with student reps from across San Diego, works with staff to plan and facilitate these programs.
