As the Jewish Federation’ OPTIONS 2020 event opened, eight Jewish women from local colleges and four women on Hillel’s professional team joined with 600 other Jewish women in the community for an evening celebrating Jewish womanhood and San Diego’s lively Jewish community.

Sophie Parker (SDSU ’22) reflected, “attending the OPTIONS event helped me to feel more connected to the local Jewish community. My eyes were opened to all the incredible Jewish organizations represented here in San Diego. I am now feeling very optimistic about my future as a Jewish professional!”

For the eight students, who mingled with empowering Jewish women from a variety of organizations and movements and heard from  keyonte speaker, Carol Leifer, a writer for Seinfeld and SNL, the event was an uplifting experience giving them renewed confidence and inspiration to take on roles of increasing leadership in their campus communities.
