San Diego Premiere of the Film Mossad!

unnamed-11

Hillel of San Diego is proud to be a community partner for 30th San Diego International Jewish Film Festival’s presentation of the comedy Mossad! on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 7:30pm at the Clairemont Mesa Theater. Discounted tickets are available using the code HILL20FF at sdjff.org.

Cleverly channeling James Bond and other movie secret agents, Mossad! delivers wacky humor, stunts, and dialogue as Mossad and the CIA team up to rescue an American tech billionaire held hostage in Israel. Boldly poking fun at the political relationship between Israel and the U.S., this film could be an antidote to current political realities. Mossad! was the greatest box-office success in Israeli cinema of 2019. Watch the trailer.

The 30th annual San Diego International Jewish Film Festival (February 13-23, 2020) uses various venues throughout San Diego County, playing to roughly 20,000 patrons every year. Since its inception in 1990, the SDIJFF has become one of the largest and most prestigious film festivals of its kind, and has the highest attendance of any Jewish cultural event in San Diego County. The SDIJFF presents feature-length documentary, narrative and animated films along with a national and international roster of guest speakers and directors. They offer an array of films that depict elements of Jewish life, history and culture or are films by Jewish directors (which possibly have no Jewish content). The film festival also includes a collection of short films (Brews & Views), a film for teens, and a film for young adults in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s.

“My older sister was involved in Hillel in college, so I knew about it before I got to SDSU. The first Shabbat I attended was an Israeli Shabbat.”
