FYSH (First Year Students of Hillel) celebrated Tu B’Shevat, the Jewish new year for the trees, with a variety of fruit and chocolate.
Participants made fruit kabobs, and each decorated and planted a flower pot with a variety of herbs and flowers such as chamomile, lavender, sage, and mint.
Tu B’Shevat is an ecological holiday designed to remind Jews of our connection to the earth and to our role as caretakers of the environment.
We’re excited to announce a new opportunity…just in time for Purim! Our goal is to raise $10,000 by Thursday, March 13 so we can fund massive Purim and Passover celebrations on all our campuses! Our plans will bring hundreds of Jewish students to celebrate, be in community, and create the Jewish experiences THEY want. Can you help us get there?
