Hillel of San Diego serves 4 campuses in San Diego. These include University of California, San Diego, San Diego State University, University of San Diego, and Cal State University San Marcos. Choose a campus in the top menu to explore.
Our full-time staff works to support student leadership and provide meaningful experiences for Jewish students across all four campuses. If you go to a community college, Hillel of San Diego is still here for you. Students across San Diego are welcome to participate in all programs like the Jewish Learning Fellows, Shabbat experiences, and free trips to Israel with Hillel of San Diego.
Though there is no way to know precisely, we estimate there are 2,000 Jewish students across all four campuses. Of those, around 1,600 are at UCSD and SDSU. We anticipate those numbers will only grow, especially with such vibrant Jewish life fostered at Hillel!
Yes! For 100 years (we’re not bragging, we promise), all kinds of Jewish students have turned to Hillel to meet new people, make friends, find support, grow an idea, and explore their interests — Jewishly and beyond. We are the most inclusive Jewish campus organization. AND, there are never membership fees or dues for students.
Relaxing and Fun- A place to meet friends, grab a (free) meal or snack, chat about the show you binged, or just kick back after a long day of classes.
Events- The best barbecues. The greatest holiday parties. Speakers who won’t put you to sleep. And we’ll bring in dogs to help relax before finals week.
Social Impact– Fighting antisemitism, building coalition, using our Jewish values to fight for social justice– we’re all about it!
Travel- A chance to discover the world! From Jerusalem to Miami, Hillel helps Jewish students explore beyond San Diego
