Wellness & Mental Health
Taking care of your mental health shouldn’t be another stressor.
We know college life comes with a lot—classes, friendships, career choices, antisemitism, stress, and everything in between. That’s why Hillel of San Diego is here to make wellness support easy, accessible, and stigma-free.
Through our partnership with Jewish Family Service of San Diego, we’re proud to have a full-time wellness counselor dedicated to supporting students with whatever life throws their way. Whether it’s stress, anxiety, loneliness, grief, tough relationships, or big transitions, you don’t have to go through it alone.
Here’s what you get (for FREE):
Up to 8 counseling sessions at no cost
In-person or virtual options—whatever works best for you
- A safe, welcoming space for Jewish students across our San Diego campuses
Your well-being matters.
And sometimes, the first step is just a click away.
Meet the Wellness Counselor
Kate Leib is an Associate Clinical Social Worker and a recent graduate from UCLA’s Masters in Social Work program.
She has experience providing mental health services to youth and families in various settings, including medical and educational settings. Working at Hillel fuses Kate’s passions of counseling young adults, working in school systems, and serving the Jewish community!
Kate takes a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach to ensure students feel supported and empowered throughout their time together. Counseling is short-term and solution-focused with the hope that each student will build sustainable tools and skills to serve them throughout college and beyond. In addition to counseling, Kate is connected to providers in the community and works to link students with additional care and resources as needed.
